Eleanore M. Moss-Muschelewicz, 89, of Calumet City, passed away peacefully on Mother"s Day, May 8, 2011. Born in East Chicago, IN. Eleanore moved to Calumet City as a young girl, where she would meet Johnny "The love of her life", who preceded her in death in 1994. They would marry, raise their family and become active members of the American Legion, Calumet City, Post 330. There, she enthusiastically took on the challenge of becoming President, then Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Along with a vibrant passion for family, friends and music, Eleanore and John were avid travelers and developed a special fondness for Hawaii and cruising. Eleanore is survived by her loving and devoted family, three daughters: Carolyn Urycki of Dyer, IN, Pam Gordon of Sarasota, FL and Annette (Larry) Warner of South Holland, IL; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her sons-in-law; Russ Gordon and Ron Urycki. Eleanore was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be Wednesday May 11, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Hennessy-Nowak Funeral Home 400 Pulaski Rd. (154th St.), Calumet City, IL. Prayers will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011, also at the funeral home.
