Elizabeth Ann Herman Bollinger was called home to heaven on Monday, January 23, 2017. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Elizabeth was born in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania on May 1, 1925. During World War II she accompanied her husband, Joseph Bollinger, to all the places he was stationed in the states. She worked on all the bases in lots of different capacities. Following the war, she lived in Baltimore, Md where she worked as a bank teller. Upon the birth of her daughter, she became a stay at home mom. She moved with her family to Cleveland, Ohio, and on to southern California, where she worked in accounting for Nabisco. She and Joseph retired to the Palm Springs area and lived there for thirty years after which time they moved to Diamond Springs to be near family.
Elizabeth had a great sense of humor and was always ready to lend a hand (or a soda and a snack!) wherever one was needed. She was generous and thoughtful to everyone. She loved hummingbirds and took care of them faithfully. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Bollinger. Other survivors include her daughter, Lynn Taylor, son-in-law Rick Taylor, grandchildren Rachael, Adam, and Bethany Taylor, great grandchildren Josiah, Travis, and Elliana Taylor, and two brothers David and Richard. A small, private family service was held.
