Elizabeth passed away in Newbury Park, California on September 14, 2017. She was 88 years old. Elizabeth was born in the Netherlands on March 22, 1929. She was eleven when World War II began in Europe. She had vivid memories of the war that stayed with her for the remainder of her life. She also worked for the Bank of America in Los Angeles. In the early fifties she began a correspondence with her future husband, Jack. He proposed by mail and she returned to Holland in 1952. They were married in April, 1953 and immigrated to the United States in April, 1954 with their infant son. They settled in Norco for 16 years and had four more children. In August, 1970 they moved to Newbury Park.
