Elizabeth M. "Betty" Reuille, 92, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Saint Anne Home. Born January 13, 1925, in Sandusky, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Riedy. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1942 and St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1945. She did post graduate studies in pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Washington D.C.

In 1952, she married Bernard J. Reuille. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital for most of her career in the newborn nursery. Her last 10 years before retirement were at General Electric Co. as an industrial nurse. In retirement, Betty and Bernie spent 20 years as snowbirds in Tucson, AZ, with a group of friends from Fort Wayne as well as friends they met from other western states. Betty had many artistic talents including stained glass and needle craft. She was a long time member of the Fort Wayne Area Embroiderers' Guild. She specialized in Brazilian and Stumpwork embroidery and loved to teach and share her skills with others. She taught classes here in Fort Wayne and in Arizona. She was also featured in the Embroidery Guild of America's national publication "NeedleArts" for her work teaching embroidery to young girls in Fort Wayne Guild's summer outreach programs at the Grabill library.

Betty is survived by her children, Ann Reuille, John Reuille and Dan (Kathy) Reuille; grandchildren, Abby and Ben; and sister, Virginia Alles.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Reuille; and sister, Ruthmary Springel.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 Fairfield Avenue, with visitation one hour prior. Father Andrew Budzinski officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Embroidery Guild of America (EGA) Legacy Scholarship Fund or St. John the Baptist Church in Fort Wayne.
