Elizabeth Mae "Mum Sis" "SR" Rodgers, age 74, departed this life Saturday, March 3, 2012. Wife of the late Jesse Rodgers; mother of Jesse Rodgers (Judie), Jessica Wright, Dulcena Kemmerlin (Ralph), Demetrius (Dorthea), McClenon, Kevin, Emmanuel, Daron and Rhonda Rodgers; sister of Emma Hervey, Barbara Turner, William, Clarence, Ernest and Lewis Saunders. Ms. Rodgers is also survived by a great niece whom she raised, Ken'Nethia Crow; 25 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; daughter-in-law, Janet; and devoted friend, Albert Miller. She was preceded in death by her son, Wyman Rodgers. Funeral 1:30 pm Saturday, March 10, at St. Joseph's Parrish, 371 E. Main Street, Middletown, DE; viewing 12:30-1:15 pm. There will also be a viewing Friday, March 9, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 300 New Street, Middletown, DE 19709, 4-7 pm. Burial, 11 am, Monday, March 12, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 371 East Main St., Middletown, DE 19709 (302)378-5800.
