Lily was born to James and Emma McMaster in Belfast Northern Ireland on October 27, 1926. She went to be with her Lord and Savior November 9, 2017. Lily spent her youth and young adulthood in Belfast Northern Ireland. She was a child of WWII and experienced the loss of her home in the Blitz. Lily married the love of her life, Roland, in July of 1949 and they were married for sixty two years. They immigrated to America sixty years ago in April of 1957 and lived in Corpus Christi for forty eight of those years. Lily was a loving and devoted mother, granny and great granny. She loved a lively conversation and enjoyed her many friends and loved ones. She lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed travel and the adventure it was.

Lily was preceded in death by her loving husband Roland, four younger brothers and an older sister. She is survived by her son Robert Sproule and wife Linda; daughter Marion Sproule Jaynes and husband Derrel. Her six loving grandchildren are Ryan Jaynes and wife Catha, Stuart Jaynes and wife Courtney, Brent Jaynes, Colin Sproule and wife Katy, Heather Sproule Anz and husband Nathan and Holly Jaynes Prude and husband Hunter. She has seven adored great grandchildren, Elliana (7), Anthony (4) and Abigail (6mo.) Sproule, Henry (5) and Lily (2) Jaynes, Logan (4) Anz and Margot (1mo.) Prude. Lily is survived also by her sisters-in-law, Gwen Cunningham and husband Hugh of Con Can, Texas, Mable Callender of Belfast Northern Ireland and sister Rita Gray and husband Billy of Belfast Northern Ireland and several nieces and nephews.

Lily lived most of her adult life in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was an active member of Travis Baptist Church and later Second Baptist Church. Lily taught young children for many, many years and continued to do so into her late seventies. Many adults now remember the influence that she had on their lives. Twelve years ago Lily moved to Houston and is a member of Houston's First Baptist Church.

Family and friends gathered for a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16th in the chapel of Houston's First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas 77024, (713) 681-8000.

At 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, family and friends gathered for a graveside service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, (361) 265-9221, where Mrs. Sproule was laid to rest with her husband.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Lily's memory to the World Mission Offering or to the Preschool Ministry of Houston's First Baptist Church.
