.Elizabeth Virginia (Reedy) Hoover Crum, 93, of Staunton, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at a local nursing home. She was born in New Market on August 11, 1922, a daughter of the late John Franklin and Mae Virginia (Good) Reedy.
Elizabeth retired from Quality Cleaners in Waynesboro. She greatly enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ocie Otis Hoover and Hampton E. Crum; a daughter, Ruth Miller; step-daughter, Vicki Lucas; one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include her son, Sherwood Hoover and wife, Janie of Stuarts Draft; daughter, Glenda Shockey of Staunton; step-son, Robert Crum and wife, Joyce of Ohio; step-daughter, Toni Fridley and husband, Gary of Staunton; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Polk of Timberville, Louise Gentry and husband, Bert of Delaware, Mary DeLaunder and husband, Corny of Broadway and Sylvia Via of Bridgewater.; brothers, David Reedy and wife, Elizabeth of Mt. Crawford, and Stanley Reedy and wife, Irene of North Carolina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro with Mrs. Betty Denton and Mr. Franklin Zimmerman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
