Ella Mae Hizenski, 90, passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2018 in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Ella Mae was born in Richmond, Texas to Henry Stanley Nowak and Pearl Stella Twardowski on May 9th, 1927. Ella Mae graduated from Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. On November 9th, 1946 Ella Mae married Jesse Hizenski in Houston, Texas and they were married 65 years. Ella Mae and Jesse traveled the world and throughout the United States. Along with her husband, Jesse, She is preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters; Nancy, Charlie, Bill, Alice, Genevieve, Sara, Tekla, Natalie and Henry. She is also preceded in death by granddaughter, Katherine Genevieve Dobis.

Ella Mae is survived by daughters Joy Hizenski and husband Wayne Lee, Amy Hizenski, and four grandchildren; Jessica Dobis Murphy, Briana Lee, Mary Dobis and Stan Dobis, along with her sister, Florence Sivcoski, who resides in Houston, TX.

Viewing/visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, January 26th at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services/Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 27th at St Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188 with Monsignor Keeney officiating. Pallbearers will be grandson, Stan Dobis (Haymarket, VA), nephew and Godson, Tom Bennett (Alvin, TX), son-in-law, Wayne Lee (Frederick, MD), granddaughter's husband, Ryan Murphy (Austin, TX), niece's husband, James Sebesta (Sugarland, TX) and friend of granddaughter Briana, Lamar Worrell (Frederick, MD). Burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA on March, 22, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.
