WHITE. Eloise (Bennett) (Smith) White, 92, of Windsor, beloved wife to the late Milton White and Irving Smith, died Saturday, (April 22, 2006) at a local convalescent home. Born December 4, 1913 in Monson, MA, daughter of the late Stanley and Florence (Nash) Bennett. Eloise had lived in Windsor since 1956. She was a member of the First Church in Windsor, Congregational and for a short period of time, Poquonock Community Church, Poquonock. Eloise graduated from American International College, Springfield, MA. Before retiring in 1965 she was employed for over 20 years at Aetna Life as an Advertising Executive. She volunteered her time and talents in many ways, she was past president of the following; Women’s Club First Church in Windsor and the Windsor Golden Fellowship, she was involved with Windsor Chapter AARP, the Windsor Sportsters Bowling Group, the Women’s Fellowship at Poquonock Community Church and Meals on Wheels. Eloise is survived by a stepdaughter, Janet Shogren of Fairfield Glade, TN; two grandchildren, Karin DeLeone and William Shogren; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 11 a.m., at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.
