Elton Earl Tetrick, JR "Shorty" was born September 30, 1954 in Bloomington, Minnesota to Elton Earl Tetrick, SR and Elaine Krueger. He passed away peacefully on January 8, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

He was a machinist for over 20 years. He retired from Salt Lake Community College. He loved raising miniature horses, lived for the outdoors, and loved to rock hound. He never missed a hunt and loved to fish. He was a colorful character with a great sense of humor.

He married Yvonne Dee Snelson on August 23, 1975 in Magna, Utah.

Survived by his mom; siblings - Judy (Squire), June Fitzgerald, and Jeff Tetrick; wife- Yvonne; children - Josh, Jake (Michelle), Jason (Courtney), Jake Barbour, and Jeromy Camp; grandchildren - Kayla, Carisma, Cam Elton, and Caleb; mother-in-law Rosie and brother-in-law Dave.

Preceded in death by his dad; brothers- John and Jerry; father-in-law Richard Snelson; sister-in-law Sheryl and brother-in-law Kent Fitzgerald.

Services will be Friday, January 12th at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Viewing will be at Noon with services to follow at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation in Elton's name to the M.S. Society or The National Kidney Foundation.
