She was a customer service employee of New Orleans Public Service for more than 20 years.
After living in New Orleans for more than 70 years, she and Burt retired to Henderson Point, MS. They shared their beach life with their children and grandchildren who loved to visit Mere and Grandfather to play in the sand and water. She and Burt enjoyed their travels across North America in their RV, going from California to Newfoundland and from Key West to the Arctic Circle and so many places in between. After Hurricane Katrina they moved to Slidell, LA. She was known for her wonderful cooking, beautifully crocheted Afghans and her skilled card-playing. Though she lost her vision to macular degeneration, she bore it with grace and patience. She was of the Anglican faith.
Special thanks and appreciation for her wonderful care go to Kelly Brandt and the incredible staff at Camellia Gardens.
