Eugene B. Rudin, 78, of Gurnee, IL, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017. Gene was born November 13, 1938 to Rudolph and Dagny Rudin in Chicago. He graduated Carl Shurz High School in Chicago in 1956 and married Amelia (Nieminski) on January 16, 1960. Together, Gene and Amy, enjoyed 57 years of marriage and have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Gene was a loyal Chicago Sports fan who was able to witness his beloved Chicago Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and most cherished Chicago Cubs celebrate world championship victories! However, what he enjoyed more than professional sports, or anything else for that matter, was cheering for his children, grandchildren, and other beloved family members in all of their endeavors.

Eugene is survived by his wife Amelia Rudin; children Dawn and David Narens, Eric Rudin, Karen and James Kennedy, and Lisa Rudin; and grandchildren Jacob and Kimberly, Dan and Ashley, Zachary, and Kaitlynn Narens, Erica Keith, Sean, Ryan, Kyle, and Kelly Kennedy; great-grandchildren Prim Narens and Elijah Keith; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 noon, followed by funeral services at 12 PM, at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee, IL on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Eugene will then be laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery in Chicago, IL. His six grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
