Born to Theodore and Betty Alexandropoulos in Patras, Greece, on Aug. 20, 1938, during the tumultuous backdrop of World War Two and the Greek Civil War that followed, Jenny quickly became a star student and was selected to attend Roseau High School in Minnessotta as an exchange student. Upon return to Greece in 1957, she met Lt Henry C Holt IV, a Navy Pilot aboard the USS Randolph. After a brief, traditional courtship, they married three months later. Throughout a thirty year career, she was always a loyal friend and faithful Navy Wife. She was passionate about Hellenic and American causes, and worked as a volunteer in the White House office of President Reagan for several years. Duty stations included Jacksonville, France, Italy, Lemoore, Greece, Washington, and Egypt. Most recently she has spent many pleasant years traveling between homes in Athens and Falls Church and enjoying retirement. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Henry IV; and her son, Henry V, of Virginia Beach, VA; as well as sisters, Mary and Galatea, and brothers, Andrew and Basil, of Greece. Services to be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Virginia Beach, VA. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
