Eusevia Flores, 96, Colorado City, passed away peacefully at the Mitchell County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Colorado City on Friday, September 22, 2017 with her family by her side.
She was born March 5, 1921 in Hondo Texas to Baltasar and Juliana Ledesma Villa
Eusevia was a strong, independent woman who chose to be a stay at home mom, in order to nurture her children and to bring them up right. She was a hard working woman, who took pride in keeping a nice yard, and being able to work with her hands sewing. She was a prideful woman who never asked for help from anybody, but would help anybody who needed it, if you needed a shoulder to lean on or someone to talk to, she would talk your ear off if you let her. She was the type of person who believed that in order to keep going you needed to keep your mind sharp which she did by doing word puzzles and reading, and she kept going until her passing. She would wake up each morning and have a cup of Nestles Hot Chocolate, which was her coffee, then would go off driving making sure to stop by Sonic and Dairy Queen each day. Those that knew her will keep her memories in her heart and smile each time they think of her.
Eusevia is survived by her sons Richard Flores and wife TuAhn of Antioch California and Steven Flores of Cloverdale California, by her daughters Carmen Villarreal and husband Gilbert of Cloverdale California, Elsa Alvarez and husband Ruben of Snyder, and Irma Flores of Colorado City. She is also survived by her sisters Beatrice Nira of Hondo and Mary Jo Alvarez of Carlsbad California as well as by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Crisantos Flores, a son Crisantos Flores Jr. and her siblings Sebastiana Pena, Ysidra Flores, Ray Villa, Pete Villa, and Baltasar Villa Jr.
A prayer service for Eusevia will be held on Tuesday, September 26th at 11 am at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. The family will be present for a visitation on Monday night September 25th from 6 to 8 pm with a rosary to be held at 7 pm at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
