Evelyn Virginia (Tueller) Perry, 91, of Placerville and Diamond Springs, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. She was a resident of El Dorado County for the past 54 years.

Evie was born in Multnomah, Oregon January 31, 1926 to Walter Gross and Theresa Balough. She always remembered her childhood as "a good and happy one." As a child and teen, she loved performing. In her recent years she would get a laugh when she would tell others she was in "Vaudeville", and they commented, "where is that?" She loved performing and helping with productions.

Evie was very talented in music with a great voice and perfect pitch. She was known for her amazing talent on the piano. Playing by ear, she awed others with her music, at church and for funerals, with a small note with her song titles listed, instead of sheet music. She was also very talented in building skills, gardening, and everyone's favorite-cooking. Family will always remember her for her homemade donuts, cream puffs, and jello salads.

Evie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having been baptized as a teen. She is probably best known for being the "very best visiting teacher". She had many callings with the women, youth and children. She also served two missions, one to Chile, and one to Alabama.
Many people knew and loved her at the LDS Sacramento Temple. She was very faithful attending the temple, even up to March of this year. Evie worked in the office of El Dorado High School and volunteered with the Voting Board of El Dorado County.

Her biggest love was her family. She kept involved with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, through her avid use of e-mail, letters and cards. Throughout the years, she loved all the family gatherings, Family Home Evenings, and dinners.

Evie survived her husband of 21years, Ralph Waldo Perry, and her son, Grant N. Tueller.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Stout, Terica Pratt and Melody Foster.
Her legacy will be 67 grandkids, 101 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund.

A viewing will be held at 2:30pm prior to the funeral at 3:00pm at the LDS Chapel, 3275 Cedar Ravine Rd. in Placerville on Saturday, April 29th. Private interment will be held at Westwood Hills Memorial Park in Placerville.
