Eugenia "Evelyne" McDowell, 77, of Ogden, AR went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her loving family on May 4, 2015 at her home.

Evelyne was born November 4, 1937 to Nile and Bonnie Lewis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashdown, AR.

She was preceded in death her parents and brothers Gene and Ralph Lewis.

Evelyne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Weldon McDowell; Three Daughters and Sons-in-Law Marilyn and Louis Terry, Becky and Gene Bishop, Kimber and Mark kennemore; Three granddaughters Anita Badgett, Ashlee Stafford, and Hannah Bishop; Four grandsons Boyd Kennemore, Wade Kennemore, Trace Kennemore, and Luke Bishop; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nancy Lewis; brother and sister-in-law Mickey and Margaret Lewis; and a number of other relatives; a special caregiver Christe Baker.

Serivces will be Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Ashdown, AR with Butch Riddle and Leon Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Ogden Cemetery in Ogden, AR. A visitation will follow the service at the Ogden Community Center. Services are under the direction of Madden Funeral Home.
