Everett C. Williams, 87, passed away at home on Thursday August 24, 2017, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Marysville, KS. On June 7, 1930 to Alton and Fannie Williams. His family moved to Lincoln, NE. when he was 12 years old. He became involved in his school band, orchestra, and track & field. Upon graduating from North East High School, he enlisted in the US Navy. He completed boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL. His first assignment was a task force training mission aboard the USS Missouri BB-63. From there, he went on to serve on the USS Monterey CVL-26 and successfully completed training for FN, BT3, and PO3. He served over 6 years active and reserve, before receiving an honorable discharge. He moved to Oregon and then settled in California where he married his wife and life long friend Margaret on December 31, 1975. The couple lived in Shafter, CA, where they raised their four children. Some of Everett's passions included golfing, fishing, camping, and the ocean. But none of those passions were greater than the passion he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Margaret and their four children. Son Heath and Joy of Bakersfield. Daughter Heather and Casey of Linden, IN. Son Charles and Carrie of Bakersfield. Daughter Jennifer and Chad of Bakersfield. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Katey, Kelsey, Frankie, and Bailey. His brother Donovan Williams of Lincoln, NE. He also loved and was loved by Lorena Papp and Donna Marquez. He was preceded in death by his parents Alton and Fannie Williams and his sister Carol.
