Faith Elizabeth Sorge, created in love and eagerly wished for, left this world an angel on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. The exciting moments of pregnancy turned to sorrow and heartfelt loss for her loving parents, Matthew and Amy (Luyt) Sorge.

Faith was the easiest of pregnancies, travelling with her parents all over the U.S. in her short 27 weeks - from Texas to Montana, from California to Alaska. She sashayed across a glacier at the foot of Mount Denali & mushed with the Iditarod race dogs. She took in ball games at historic Dodger Stadium, Cowboys Stadium, and Rangers Ballpark. She spied the turbulent waters at Deception Pass. She ooh'ed and aah'ed the fire in the sky on July 4th while cruising Flathead Lake. At home, she managed to sleep through 10 dogs rough housing at Camp Doggie Bow-Wow, was a pool shark in training at her parents' weekly pool matches, and kept up with her mom's boot camp and running activities. God's plan is not always apparent, but He felt those 27 weeks were enough and ushered her back home.

Faith was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Hans Sorge, Michael & Rita Luyt, and Elmer & Lola Opitz. She leaves an imprint on the hearts she never knew, that will forever love her: her parents, Matthew & Amy Sorge; fur-siblings Corbin & Beamer; grandparents, Brian Luyt & Mary Opitz of Plano, TX, Rebecca Sorge of Lawton, OK; great-grandmother, Maria Sorge of Lawton, OK; aunts and uncles, Lisa & Tim Dula of Plano, TX, Greg & Stephie Luyt of Traverse City, MI, Katie Luyt of Plano, TX and Bradley Luyt of Plano, TX; cousins Matthew & Kristin Dula of Plano, TX, and Grady, Emery, & Theo Luyt of Traverse City, MI.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 7pm at the Ted Dickey West Funeral Home (7990 President George Bush Tpke. Dallas, TX).

"There is no footprint too small that cannot leave an imprint in this world."
