Florence I. (Law) Hicks, 88, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late William C. Hicks. Born in Glocester, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Laura (Greene) Law. Mrs. Hicks has lived in Scituate most of her life and was a member of the D.A.R., Trinity Episcopal Church and sang in the church choir for many years. She is survived by her children, Deborah Varrieur of Clayville with whom she lived, William Hicks of Woonsocket, Winfield Hicks and David Hicks both of Scituate and the late Janet Beattie. She was the sister of Ann Newman, Beverly Schramm, Arlene Arendt, Mildred Brooks, Ernest, David and Frank Law and the late Ruth Scott, Thelma Corbin, Faith Korpinen, Arthur, Raymond, Theodore, Walter and Leslie Law; grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 6. Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Requiem Eucharist Service at 10am in Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike, N. Scituate. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery, Foster. Visitation Sunday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Trinity Episcopal Church will be appreciated.
