Floyd Boudreaux Sr. of Morgan City, known best as Jack to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the age of 89 while surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on February 28, 1928 in Chacahoula. He was an adoring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. A veteran of the United States Navy, Jack served his country with great pride and honor in WWII and the Korean Conflict. Jack retired from McDermott after 26 years of dedication then he went back and worked for Moody International for 21 years before retiring again. Jack enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and shrimping and was known for being a "Jack" of all trades. Above everything else in his life, he devoted his time, love, and energy to providing for his beloved family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Vickie Boudreaux, Sandra Molaison and her husband, Dennis, and Floyd Boudreaux, Jr. and his wife, Laurie; his foster daughter , Adele Fitch; 8 grandchildren, Dawn Flumerfelt, Chad Aucoin, Laurie Jo Soigner, Terry Sanchez Jr., Jessica Melancon, Bennett Boudreaux, Jeremy Boudreaux, and MacKenzie Molaison; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his brothers, Roy, Robert, and Albert Boudreaux.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Guillory Boudreaux; his parents, Wilson and Lucy Boudreaux; his daughter, Penny Cook; his granddaughter, Hiedi Sanchez; his great grandson, Kyle Ritter; two brothers, Wilson "Cook" and James "Jimmy" Boudreaux and four sisters Annette Clark, Arlette Talbot, Edith Donnaud, and Joyce Guillory.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 8am until time of services at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville with a Mass of Christian burial taking place at 11am. Jack will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum following services. Military honors for Jack will be rendered by the United States Navy and the East St. Mary Veteran Funeral Squad.
