Frank Della Costa Sr., originally from Rochester, New York, died peacefully at age 95 in Kissimmee, Florida due to natural causes. He is survived by two sons, Richard (Eileen Casey); Frank, Jr. (Gwen Oosterhouse); six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends from various parts of the United States.
Frank was preceded in death in 2012 by his wife of 72 years, Rose (Salvatore) and their eldest son, John in 2013 who was 69.
Frank was born April 27, 1921 in Rochester, New York. He graduated from Edison Tech High School in 1939. In 1940 he married Rose Marie Salvatore of Kendall, New York. Frank served in the Navy during World War II for three years, serving in Pacific theater. After his discharge in 1946, he and Rose bought a farm in Kendall, New York where they raised three sons. Frank worked for the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester for 42 years as a skilled tool maker and instrument maker. He retired in 1981 and he and Rose relocated to Lakeland, Florida in 1984.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday May, 14, 2016 at 10:00 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 9 S. Main St, Holley, NY 14470.
