Fred "Dutch" Barthel, 83 of Summit Station, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years Ivadene (Maynard) Barthel and son Steven, along with grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Born December 31, 1928 in Furth, Germany and gained his American Citizenship in 1960. Retired from International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 18 in Columbus, OH. He was also a longtime member of Jersey Baptist Church. Graveside ceremonial will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E.
