Frederick F. "Rick" Schlemm, 59, of Alexander, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on September 19, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Rick was born October 8, 1952 in Springfield, the son of Frederick Carl and Mildred Sheppard Schlemm. Rick graduated from Springfield High School. He was a member of the Laborers Local #477, worked for Fiat-Allis for several years, and later owned and operated his own auto-body business. He was most recently employed by Pennell Forklift in Jacksonville as a painter and welder. He was known for being hard-working and helpful. He enjoyed restoring old cars, tractor pulling, and collecting old knick knacks. Everything Rick did was for his children. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; two sons, Rick Schlemm and Logan Lancaster; one daughter, Kasie Schlemm; three step-children, Kelly Kissick, Kathy Jo Barnard, and Tigger (wife, Sabrina) Kissick; eight grandchildren; siblings, David (wife, Gail) Schlemm, Mark (wife, Susan) Schlemm, Jim Schlemm, and Pam Guile; special aunt, Bertha E ."Auntie" Schlemm; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering and Memorial Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at McCullough, Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E.
