Gage was born on June 13, 1998, in Grand Prairie to Ryan and Chrissy Overton. He graduated from Dubiski Career High School in 2016 and was in the engineering pathway. He also enjoyed welding and spending time in the automotive building at Dubiski. At sixteen years of age, Gage was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma but went into remission and enjoyed an incredible senior year. After high school, Gage moved to Orlando, Florida, to pursue his dream in performance mechanics. While there, he made many friends in the drift car racing scene and learned the ropes at a performance shop, Central Florida Turbo. Upon Gage's return to Dallas, he learned he had relapsed with synovial sarcoma but this time in an inoperable area of the pleural lining of his lung. He was passionate about building and boosting his 1995 240SX, friends, family, contributing to science, and adventure. Gage was a brave, playful, old soul with a sharp wit, and he will be cherished forever.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth St., Grand Prairie, Texas 75050. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Friday September 29 at 11 a.m. Pastor Don Strickland will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gage's life.
