Obituary

Gail I. Wagner, age 80, of Aurora, IL, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 after a short illness. Gail was born January 23, 1940 in Methuen, Massachusetts to Henry Francis Drenth and Ruth Adah Haley.

She married Albert Wagner on July 25, 1981. She worked at Processed Plastics in Montgomery, IL from 1971 until her retirement. There is where most of her beloved friends were made. Gail enjoyed her quiet life without any frills or fuss and would spend countless hours playing her favorite games on the computer. She had the most joy when around her three great-grandchildren and was thrilled there was a fourth coming this June.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Albert; sister Donna (Phil) Givens; her devoted son Robert Van Dyk and his wife Patricia of Big Rock, IL; grandson, Aaron Van Dyk (Cheryl) of Maple Park, IL; granddaughter, Kelli (Jay) Yaggie, of Hinckley, IL; three great-grandchildren, Damon and Hannah Van Dyk and Austen Yaggie. Gail also leaves four step children; Dale (Cheri) Wagner, Al (Jean) Wagner; Doris (Jerry) Freeman and Joellen (Phil) Kujawa; nine step grandchildren and countless more great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Gail was preceded in death by both parents and granddaughter Debbie Duran.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 3-7 P.M. at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at The Healy Chapel, 332 Downer Pl, Aurora, IL with burial immediately after at the Lincoln Memorial Park.
