Gary Francis DuCharme, 71, of 19 North Main Street, Lanesboro died Wednesday, February 18. 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born on October 27, 1943 in Pittsfield, Ma. a son of the late Clifford F. DuCharme, Sr. and Pearl Lillie DuCharme. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Gary was the proprietor of Pristine Carriage Professional Auto Detailing in Lanesboro for over 20 years, prior to this he had worked for many auto dealerships as an auto salesman. He was a fan of NASCAR and the Boston Red Sox, and had coached for the North Little League as well as being a director for the North Little League. He had assisted at the Boys Club Hockey League and had raced snowmobiles and did quarter mile drag racing at Lebanon Valley Speedway.
Mr. DuCharme leaves his longtime companion, Susan A. Taylor; his daughter, Julie A. Murray and husband David of Peru, Ma., her son, Jeffrey A. DuCharme and wife Michele of Dalton, Ma. A Brother, Robert DuCharme and wife Donna of Pittsfield, Ma. A step brother, Clifford F. DuCharme, Jr. of Peru, Ma. A step sister, Robin Furcinite Thomas of Pittsfield, Ma. Three grandchildren, Christopher and Kyle Murray and Jack Raymond DuCharme. A great grandson, Logan Murray.
He is also survived by his extended family, Shari McLeod and her husband, Glen, and Scott C. Taylor, Jr., children of Shari, Nicholas (Aislynn and Adrianna), Cameron and Kimberly.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A calling hour will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2 to 3 P.M. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. followed by a Christian Prayer Service at 3:00 P.M. with the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church officiating.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials in his memory be made to Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
