Genevieve Veronica McGraw. ?
89, of Sun Cities left us peacefully on Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2017, and is now reunited with her mother, father, brother, Bill, husband, Jerry, and son, Brian, along with her three sisters-in-law and many dear loved ones. Her parents and her Catholic faith, and treasured Catholic education were her foundation and guide. She was a proud alumnus of St. Patrick's Cathedral High School in New York City and she worked as a bank bookkeeper and eventually as a homemaker.

Born in Greenwich Village, New York City, NY to a devout Irish Catholic family, she was the only daughter of Genevieve and William Dunn with three brothers, Bill, Francis X and Tommy.

Genevieve married Jerrold B. "Jerry" McGraw in 1948 and they had 5 children together, providing a rich foundation of unconditional love, faith, self sacrifice and devotion to family. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen with husband, Rich, Jeanne with husband, Kevin, and one son, Michael J., and, "her youngest daughter, greatest blessing, and truest companion," Tricia, who is a Special Olympian, to whom she devoted the last fifty years of her life.

Genevieve will be greatly missed as well by her grandchildren, Monica and Adam, Scott, Kristin and Don, David and Laura, and Bryan, Jennifer, Shaun, Sarah, Joe, Maggie, and their families, as well as her adopted daughter, caregiver and friend Sandy. Her great grandchildren include Emily and Micaela and sixteen more great grandchildren who called her by the nicknames, "Mama McGraw"," G Ma", ' GG" and "The Geege." She is also survived by nieces, Ellen and PollyAnn, godson, Bill, and nephew, Thomas, and their families.

GG was our dearest mother, confidante, life coach, cheerleader and friend. Her home was our "happy place" as there was always music, kindness, fun and laughter. Mom, you loved us all so dearly and we simply adored you. You will be truly missed even though you're always with us in our hearts.

A Catholic Vigil Service will be held at Surprise Funeral Home, 16063 W. Bell Rd. Surprise, Az. 85374, from 4pm-8pm on Friday, June 9th with a service at 6pm.
Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 10th at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W Palmeras Drive, Sun City, Az. with a reception following the service. A private family burial is planned for later in the week at Holy Cross Cemetery.
