Our son, brother, cousin, uncle and best friend fondly known as Georgie came three weeks early at Nairobi Hospital on November 7, 1982. Born to loving parents, Peter and Catherine Waringo, George Macharia Waringo was the fourth born of six children; Josh, Willy, Stando,Ray and Njeri.

Right from birth, Georgie had a larger than life personality often playing pranks on friends and family with April fool's day being his speciality, it was often a barrel of laughs. During his early years he attended Our Lady of Mercy Primary School in Nairobi, and later Mang'u High School in Thika. After high school he relocated to the United States where he received both his Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Science degree in Information Systems from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

Georgie enjoyed playing a fierce game of rugby and when off the field enjoyed cheering for his beloved "AllBlacks" the New Zealand Rugby team. He was just as passionate about Washington DC 's football team the "Redskins" which was evident through his antagonizing posts on social media during game days .

Known for his generosity, Georgie had a big heart for everyone and would do anything for his friends and family. We remember him for being especially protective over his younger siblings, Ray and Njeri. He cherished his parents, often referring to his Dad as his best friend and celebrating his mother every day. Despite the physical distance between him and his older brothers, cousins and other relative he was always in constant communication. Whether that was via Gchat, WhatsApp, Viber or Skype, simply put Georgie was the thread that wove the family close together.

Georgie often entertained family as well as friends and he was also a fabulous cook, often experimenting with different recipes making them his own.

Prior to his passing he was employed at LMI in IT security where he had worked since 2011 and was admired by many of his colleagues. Georgie will be dearly missed by parents, siblings, nephews PJ and Davy; nieces Gloria, Catherine, Imani, Luna and Deborah, other relatives and many friends.

We will miss Georgie's random corny jokes, just to make you laugh, His sense of humor was exceptional, and we will fondly remember him for his big heart, as the life of the party; last one to get there and the last one to leave.

Sleep with the angels our beloved Georgie, until we meet again.
