George W. Thomas Jr. - Most people knew him as George, the "W" stands for Washington, but he has always been known to his family as June. George was the fourth of five children born to George W. Thomas Sr. and Mae Bell Thomas, ne Henderson, on August 8, 1957. He grew up in a community on the Westside of Chicago known as "K-town" on the 4200 block of W. Cullerton. As their relationship grew, they moved to Bloomington, IL. Both George and Robin were employed at GTE. They settled into life and had two children; Jason Thomas and Felicia Thomas. George and Robin eventually went their separate ways, but, remained close.
Due to diabetes, George eventually lost his vision. However, that did not stop him from enjoying the things he loved; a good football game, hanging out at a barbeque or being with family and friends.
