Gerald J. Kelly (affectionately known as ''Kelly'' to those close to him) was born to Joseph and Courtney Kelly on October 22, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kelly graduated from North Division High School and years later completed a degree at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Kelly was employed at the Milwaukee County Children's Court Center for over 30 years. On September 23, 1972, Kelly Uuited in holy matrimony with Juanita Kelly (Moore). From that union, they had three children: Kerri Kelly (fiance, John Mikich), Ronald Kelly (fiancee, Shavanaka Feagin, and Roland Kelly (Zoraida). From a previous union, Kelly has three children: April Johnson (Michael), Nina Mack, and Anthony Kelly. On Tuesday, April l7, 2012, Gerald J. Kelly went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. Kelly; mother, Courtney Kelly (Williams); one sister, Virginia Kelly-Childs; and two brothers, Roland and Eugene Kelly. He leaves to cherish his memory 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Kelly is also survived by a host of other siblings and relatives. Kelly believed in enjoying life with family and friends. His social activities included mentoring at- risk youth and spending time with an exceptional group of gentlemen known as "The Ten Men". "The Ten Men" group include': Larry Jeter, Albert Jackson, Duke Warren, Derek Gallagher, John Givens, Jose Head, Syl Polk, and Paul Biagoi. Jerry Smith and Gerald J. Kelly are still friends, but in a better place. Kelly also acknowledges his loving niece, Velvet R. Moore, as his "good buddy" and right hand,
