Gerald K. "Jerry" Hoover, 64, of Phillipsburg, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born October 4, 1950, in Dayton, to the late George and Mildred (Hoke) Hoover.

Jerry will be missed and remembered by his wife, Linda Kay (Jones) Hoover; son Christopher Hoover of Phillipsburg; daughter Jennifer (Keith) Lock of Tipp City; four grandchildren, Isaiah, Alexis, Annabelle, and Kayden; sisters Gwen Hoover of Lewisburg and Judy Elam of Brookville; adopted sister Betty "Benji" Benjamin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-laws Terry Jones and Garland Elam.

Jerry worked for Northmont Schools, retiring in 2010 as head custodian, and attended Emanuel Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg. He loved cars and car shows, was a member of the Old Time Cruisers car club. Jerry was the proud owner of a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton, with Pastor Todd Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery near Phillipsburg. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Time Cruisers. Online memories may be left for the family at hale-sarver.com.
