Gideon Ray Lee, 83, of White Stone, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. Born September 10, 1923, in Lake Toxaway, NC, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Leila Miller Lee and the husband of the late Viola Hamilton Lee. He was retired from Draper Corporation, a member of Golightly United Methodist Church, a Mason, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Lee Edwards and Dorothy L. Huntsinger, both of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sons, Larry Alton Lee, Donald James Lee, and David Charlie Lee. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Graveside services with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Marv Crowe. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, Attn: SRHS Foundation Office, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Linda L. Edwards, 3306 Southport Road, Spartanburg.
