Glenda Rae Geisendorff, 70, a native of Welsh and resident of Willis, TX was entrusted to God's loving care on February 21, 2016 in Conroe, TX surrounded by the love of her family. Glenda was born in Jennings, LA to Roy A. and Leona (Broussard) Mott on July 22, 1945. She grew up in Welsh and graduated from Welsh High School in 1963. She attended the Hotel Dieu School of nursing and completed two years towards her degree.

She married Herbert Ray "Gus" Geisendorff in June of 1965 and they began an adventure that lasted over 50 years. His 22 year career in the Army saw Glenda develop into a fantastic mother to three children and a really great "Army wife". The military experience allowed her the opportunity to learn and develop skills that would enable her to lead voluntary groups and numerous wives social activities. Many moves around the world required her to take charge and handle all the details that would be completed with minimal impact on her family.
Her passion was singing and she always volunteered to participate in church chorus groups. Her hobbies were reading, antiquing and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was survived by her husband, Herbert Ray Geisendorff of Willis, Texas; daughters, Kelly Contello (Michael Contello) of Houston, TX and Amy Stivers (Scott Stivers) of College Station TX; son, Clay Geisendorff (Brooke Cogdill) of Little Elm, TX; grandchildren, Taylor McAnulty-Contello, Sophia Contello of Houston, Hannah and Claire Stivers of College Station, TX: sisters, Charlotte Lyons (Jeff) , Welsh and Elizabeth Cannon (Jimmy), Houma brothers, Roy Mott (Noreen), Karl Mott (Darleen), all of Houma and Robin Mott of New Orleans. Glenda is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1pm with Father Alan Trouille as Celebrant.
