Glennice Harlan Jett Williams
August 31, 1920 - December 23, 2017

Glennice was born August 31, 1920 to Walter and Daisy Patterson Jett in Marshall County, Alabama. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona as a child and spent most of her young life there. She returned to Guntersville, Alabama, as a young adult, where she met her husband Wallace. They started their life together in Montgomery, where their two daughters were born. They later moved to Mobile and Guntersville where they would have a son and another daughter.
Glennice missed life in the west and in 1950, the family relocated to to Phoenix where she and Wallace raised their children to adulthood. After retirement, they returned to northern Alabama once more. As their children settled in Houston, they spent their final years there. Glennice loved most of all, time spent with her family. She was the consummate mother and grandmother. Always modern and engaged with life, she was the family favorite at all holiday gatherings. In her home, she loved gardening and sewing. Daily activities were always accompanied with music. She loved the songs and singers of the big band era. She was soft yet strong, gentle yet firm, practical, mischievous and always dependable. Her sweet easy smile was always a ray of sunshine in our lives.
Glennice was predeceased by her mother and father, Walter and Daisy, her husband Wallace, her daughter Judith Williams Schaezler, her sister Dimple Jett Sellers, and her grandson, Hugh Hedges. She is survived by her daughter Cecelia Hedges, her son Walter Williams, and her daughter Carollee Waring, as well as granddaughters Melissa, Holly, Judith, and Robyn, and grandsons Steven, Scott and Logan, and great grandchildren Noah, Nicholas, Logan, Avaya and Leah.
