Gloria Jean Fafoglia, 88, of Springfield, passed away on Dec. 25, 2016 at home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Aug. 3, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of the late Albert P. and Mildred (Gordon) Molash. She married Angelo Fafoglia on Sept. 20, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Gloria worked in the mortgage lending department of First National Bank, retiring as a Vice President in 1994. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield, King's Daughters, TRN Club, Elks Lodge, Eagles Auxiliary and Springfield Ceramic Club. She enjoyed traveling, boating, the theater and was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her 3 children, Dianne (Jerry) Wittkoff of Denver, CO, Michael (Sandra) Fafoglia of Springfield, and David (Phillip) Fafoglia of Springfield; granddaughter Erin (Phil) Vuollet; step-grandson Larry (Sheila) Sims; step-granddaughter Amy (Steve) Condon; 3 great-grandchildren, Angelo, Emilia, and Leonardo Vuollet; 4 step great-grandchildren, Andrea and Sydney Condon, Nathan and Wyatt Sims; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Yoggerst and Patricia Valenzuela, and two brothers, Bobby Molash and Albert Molash.

Gloria was a true "people person" and her family and friends were extremely important to her. She will be deeply missed.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Road, Springfield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 4-7pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2477 W. Washington, Springfield, IL. Additional visitation time will be on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:30pm at St. John's Lutheran Church. Pastor Greg Busboom will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
