Obituary

Grace L. Gartner, of Horsham, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Frank S. Gartner; loving mother to her daughters Linda Bruno (Michael LeMaitre) and Barbara Ehlmann (Mark); cherished Nanny of Jennifer Spadaro (Vincent), Kimberly Ehlmann, Stephanie Ehlmann (Matthew Weaver), and Mark Ehlmann Jr. (Olivia Arnold); loving great grandmother of Dominick Spadaro; and caring sister of the late Charles Baxter Jr. (Laura), the late Kathryn Oswald (Kenneth) and Earl Baxter, and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Born in 1929 in Rockledge, PA, Grace met "her honey" Frank in 1947 at a football game and they were married in 1950 at the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church of Rockledge.

Through the next three decades of her life, Grace raised two daughters and kept a beautiful house and home. In her free time, Grace and Frank vacationed in the Poconos with Linda and Barbara, permanently relocating to Pocono Pines from Hatboro in 1984 when Frank retired. When not preparing her favorite dinners, Grace enjoyed spending her free time with her family and grandchildren, traveling the country with Frank in their RV and down at the Jersey shore each summer.

When the cold weather hit, Grace and Frank flew south for the winter to their residence in Bradenton, Florida. They lived at Tropical Gardens and Plantation Village for 15 years, regularly spending time with close friends Doris and Ray, Fran and Helen -- playing pinochle and enjoying vanilla ice cream.

In 1997, Grace and Frank decided they were too far away from their beloved Philadelphia Phillies and they returned to Horsham, PA, where she lived the rest of her life. Grace and Frank were members of the United Methodist Church of Horsham.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Grace's Life Celebration on Friday, August 14, 2020 beginning at 11:00AM followed by her funeral service at 12:00PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home at 200 W.
