Harold D Turley, 86, of Peoria passed away at 9:51 pm Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Grand View Alzheimer’s Special Care Center.

He was born in Chicago, the son of Harold and Elsie Forschler Turley. He married Barbara Ann Denham. She preceded him in death on January 21, 1991. He later married Janice Moody on April 25, 1992.

Harold is survived by his wife of twenty-five years; two daughters, Martha Turley of Zephyr Hills, FL and Marilyn Sutherland of Lawrenceburg, KY; two grandchildren, Sara and Josh (Heather) Sutherland; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Haydon Sutherland; one step-son, Steven (Janine) Terrell of Peoria; two step-daughters, Denice (Stanley) Kester of Peoria, and Theresa (Douglas) Peterson of Evans, GA; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded by his parents and one brother, Thomas Turley.

Harold was a 1954 graduate of Bradley where he was a member of THETA CHI Fraternity. He was a Real Estate Appraiser with First Federal Savings, he later worked at the Department of Transportation. After leaving he was self- employed until his retirement.

He was also a member of Appraisal Institute, MAI, Building Owner and Managers Group of Peoria, Peoria Board of Realtors, and Illinois Real Estate Appraisal Committee from March 1990 to March 1997.

Harold was a member of First United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank Grand View Alzheimer's Special Care Center and Harbor Lights Hospice for the excellent care that Hal received.

Funeral Services will be at 10 am Monday, November 20, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey- Wilton Funeral Home. Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday November 19, 2017 from 4-6:00 pm also at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mt Hawley Cemetery.
