Harold R.C. Jones, 77, passed away October 7, 2017 of congestive heart failure at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville, MS. He was born on February 2, 1940 to Bruce R.C. Jones and Emila Fugitt Jones. He was married to Alma Worthington Jones for twenty-nine years. Prior to retirement, he was employed by American Shoe Machinery Company of Boston, MA where he traveled for over thirty years. He considered himself fortunate to have visited all fifty states along with seven countries. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, a past Master of the Booneville Masonic Lodge and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed playing dominoes, driving cars and visiting with friends at the coffee shop.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville, MS. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Ridgecrest Missionary Baptist Church also in Booneville. Burial will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Alma and two daughters; Felicia (David) McCleery of Bradenton, FL and Cynthia (Wayne) Breedlove of Booneville; one grandson, Hayden (Deanna) Shadburn and one granddaughter, Ailey Shadburn; two great-grandchildren, Irielynn Shadburn and Kynston Shadburn; all of Booneville. One stepson, Rickie Dale Mineer; two stepdaughters, Debbie (Gary) Fraley and Vickie (Mark) Gray; five step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren; all of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda Lambert Jones; two half-brothers, Sylvester Rhoads and William Ralph Rhoads; one half-sister, Lula Faye Forte.
Pallbearers are Hayden Shaden, Travis Follmer, Gary Frayley, Cecil Rhoads, Wesley Spencer, Kevin Stevens, Rickie Mineer and Dave Crowe.
