"Grandpa Haskell". Even little Elisabeth remembers you. I keep on telling her that you are watching from heaven above and that you love her and want her to learn a lot. Dear Haskell,

"Grandpa Haskell". Even little Elisabeth remembers you. I keep on telling her that you are watching from heaven above and that you love her and want her to learn a lot. You always believed she is something special. Well, she really is. We still have the picture with you, myself (holding baby Elisabeth), Maria, Arnold, David and Hillary taken in front of your house. We wished, we could set the clock back and spend time with you. You were always there for us, no matter, what happened. We were "your family" as you called it, and we always will be.
We hope that we will be able one day to come back to Goldfield, as we are
currently not welcome in your country, which is also our childrens home country.
. We still have 4 more years to go before we will be allowed to visit you. (Even though we have no doubt that you are here with us sometimes). Youv always told us, that one day you will go back to "your" star. You were the greatest person in our lives. You definitely deserved way more honor in your lifetime than you actually received. You really would have deserved, and still DESERVE the Nobel Prize for your invention. Youv been the most compassionate, enthusiastic, caring and loving person in our lives. We wish for your great spirit, that one day "THE UNITED STATES" will give you all the honor you would have actually deserved in your lifetime. You have been a true patriot and served your country in a by far greater way for the future than they were willing to comprehend. You will be always in our hearts, we love you!

We met Mr. Karl when we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were traveling to Las Vegas and stopped in Goldfield for the night and to get something to eat. That little roadside Café on the left side looked interesting, so we stopped for a bite. We were driving our Mustang convertible that is painted to look like the flag of our country, all Red, White, and Blue. Mr Karl came over to our table, introduced himself, and said that

We met Mr. Karl when we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were traveling to Las Vegas and stopped in Goldfield for the night and to get something to eat. That little roadside Café on the left side looked interesting, so we stopped for a bite. We were driving our Mustang convertible that is painted to look like the flag of our country, all Red, White, and Blue. Mr Karl came over to our table, introduced himself, and said that he really admired our car, As we carried on a conversation, he told us of his invention and showed us the clippings on the wall. We truly admired this little gentleman and wished him great luck in getting it recognized. I wanted to return to Goldfield, once again, to visit with this great fellow and maybe explore the area some, but I experienced a heart attack in the fall of 2010, which has left me unable to drive. I am sorry to discover that he has passed on. We are honored to have met this gentleman. I am certain he will be greatly missed.
