Hazel was born August 8, 1921 in Ellery, IL. Her parents were Herbert C. and Gertrude M. (Tinckham) Mann. She married Norman Perkins July, 1941 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death January 5, 1970.
Hazel was a farmer. She was famous for her angel food cakes. She was her grandchildren's #1 supporter and attended as many of their sporting events as possible.

She was a member of the Browns Chapel Church and United Methodist Women. She was a precinct committee woman of the Republican Party, member of Edwards County Fair Board for many, many years and was superintendent of the floral hall. Her specialties were; flower arranging, canning and needle work. She was also active on several boards, including the Edwards County Senior Center and Farm Bureau Women.

Hazel is survived by one daughter; Barbara (Gary) Bunting, two sons Larry (Nancy) Perkins, Donnie (Debbie) Perkins all of Albion, IL, seven grandchildren; Randy, Carol, Tina, Stephanie, Lacey, Justin and Greg, 9 great-grandchildren; Tyler, Jered, Shelby, Jamie, Gracie, Sawyer, Callie, Conner and Ava.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; Gilbert Mann, two sisters; Margaret Cunningham and Martha Mann.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery southwest of Albion. Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 1:00PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Browns Chapel Church or "Living the Adventure"-Matt Henson.
Hazel Irene Perkins, 94 of Albion, IL passed from this life to the next on January 14, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL.
