Helen Isenberg Klumas, 78, was born June 25, 1939, in McConnellstown, PA, to the late Donald and Ruth Isenberg and she went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2017, at her home in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Gerald Klumas; a Son,Timothy Klumas and his wife Barbara Baldovin and a daughter, Jennifer Klumas and her husband James Barner. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ester Isenberg. Helen was a long time resident of the Friendswood and Clear Lake area of Houston



In her early years she travelled with her father, a Church of the Nazarene evangelist and played the piano and organ for his services. She attended Eastern Nazarene College where she met her husband. They were married June 4, 1960. She was very active in her church all of her life and has attended the Clear Lake Church of the Nazarene for 50 years where she held many positions. Most recently she led the food ministry for the church and was always on hand to help with most of the activities.



She worked for many years as an interior decorator and owned several businesses. She loved helping people with events, including corporate parties, decorating hotels and businesses at Christmas. She has been a wedding planner, working with couples to make their wedding day unique and special for them and she was an accomplished photographer. She used all those talents to help the church she loved so much.



Helen was a gifted musician playing piano and organ at her church most of her life. Her skills added greatly to the worship services.



She was a very compassionate person with a loving heart, always ready to reach out to anyone who needed her help with problems no matter what that problem was.



She loved animals and always has one or two dogs that she doted on and spoiled.



There will be Memorial Service on Friday, August 25 at 6pm, at the Clear Lake Church of the Nazarene.14310 Galveston Rd, Webster, TX 77598
