Mrs. Helen C. Wynne, 95, of Cecil, Georgia, passed away September 9, 2014 at Cook Medical Center in Adel, Georgia. She was born April 23, 1919, in Ashburn, Georgia, to the late Henry Messenberg Cawley and the late Maybelle Bray Cawley. Mrs. Wynne lived most of her life in Cecil and was a member of Adel United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Mrs.Wynne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, O.B. "Buzzy" Wynne, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Cecil; another daughter-in-law, Patricia Wynne of Seneca, South Carolina; three grandchildren: Brent Wynne, III and wife, Nikki, of Hahira, Georgia, Priscilla Pelfrey and husband, Robbie, of Liberty, South Carolina, and Gene Wynne, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Decatur, Georgia; and three great-grandchildren: Jacob and Joshua Pelfrey of Liberty, South Carolina, and Harper Peri Wynne of Hahira; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.B. Wynne, Sr.; a son, Gene Redding Wynne, Sr.; and an infant son, Harry Carl Wynne;

A graveside service for Mrs. Wynne was held Saturday September 13, 2014 at 10 am at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating. Gene R. "Chip" Wynne, Jr., Robbie Pelfrey, Sidney Zipperer, Ronnie Caldwell, Ken Busby, and Phil Merwin served as pallbearers. Visitation was conducted before the service from 9 am until 10 am at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. In lieu of flowers, the Wynne family requests that memorials be made to the Adel United Methodist Church or to the New Life Baptist Church Missions Fund.
