Obituary for:
Helen J. Beck
Age: 64

Helen J. Beck, 64 of Clarkson Fredericktown Road, Negley died at UPMC Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA on Monday, June 1, 2009 following a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool, OH on December 15, 1944, a daughter of the late June (Davis) Higgins and James R. Higgins of Negley, OH.

Living her entire life in this area, she graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1962 and was a member of the Fredericktown Christian Church. Mrs. Beck was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

Her husband, Donald R. Beck survives her at home. They were married on July 6, 1968.

Two sons: Frank Beck of Negley and William Higgins of Glenmoor; five daughters: Mary Higgins of East Palestine, Dawn Parker of Lisbon, Martha Moffett of Wellsville, Helen Anderson of Columbiana and Roberta Beck-Simko of Negley; two brothers: James R. Higgins and Charles L. Higgins both of Wellsville; eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive her.

Besides her mother, one son: Donald R. Beck, Jr. preceded her in death.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 7:00 PM with Mr. Tom White of the Fredericktown Christian Church officiating.

Burial will take place in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Wednesday from 5:00 until the time of service at 7:00PM.
