Helen LaVerne Pyron of Spring, Texas passed away at age 95 on Saturday, November 18th surrounded by her family. LaVerne was born in Dallas, Texas, the oldest daughter of John and Laura Fisher. She married Metz Pyron in 1941 and over the course of their 54 year marriage they resided in Dallas, Houston and Beaumont, Texas. LaVerne was a manager for Stanley Home Products and was an active member of her church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Metz Pyron, her sister Valita Gaston and her brother Alvin Fisher.

LaVerne is survived by her son and daughter in law Metz & Pat Pyron of Rockport, Texas, her daughter and son in law Judy & Jack Glidden of Spring, Texas, her daughter and son in law Patty & Ross McGowen of Spring, Texas, her sister Winnie Lambert of Grand Prairie, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her special friend Sydney Blume of Spring, Texas. LaVerne was affectionately known as "Memaw" to her grandchildren Sherry & Tony Bazan, Ron & Suellen Pyron, Janna & Dennis Sewell, Richard Pyron, John & Sabrina Glidden, Shelley & Brian Nauman, Missy Allen, Jerry & Brandy Glidden, Ross McGowen Jr., Ryan McGowen, Sean McGowen, to her 25 great grandchildren Chris, Austin, James, Stephen, Zach, Ben, Brandon, Justin, Madeleine, Sarah Jane, Courtney, Mark, Rachel, Carrie, Judy, Nicholas, Jonathon, Alexander, Abigail, Cole, Shelby, Max, Kaylea, Cassidy and Gavin and to her 9 great, great grandchildren Carlos, Anna Marie, Mason, Addison, Emma, Penny, Tyler, Zoey and Andrew.

Visitation is scheduled for 5-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20th at Brookside Funeral Home Champions. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21st at Memorial Baptist Church, 22333 Kuykendahl Road, Spring, TX 77379. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22nd at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. Memorial donations may be directed to Operation Christmas Child or The Gideons International.
