Helon Vernice Bryant was born February 12, 1948 in Wendell, North Carolina to Eugene C. and Janie E. Bradshaw Richardson. She later moved to Giddings, TX with her family and lived with her favorite grandmother (Julia McBride Bradshaw) until she married and moved to Ft. Worth, TX. From that union came her two children Debbie and Jerrod. Helon was a gifted artist who put her God given talents to use at an early age making clothing for family, friends, and neighbors. She later became a tailor and worked for many men's retailers in both Houston and Austin, Tx.

A friend and co-worker introduced her to the love of her life, Lee (Leo) Bryant, whom she married in 1982. The two of them remained inseparable and were best friends. They shared a wonderful life and worked together to build a home and a legacy. Leo will tell you that Helon was his everything and he was always there for her during her fight with cancer.

Her self-confidence and faith in God led her to venture into the field of interior design. She worked hard to build her skills and learn about the fabrication of window treatments and interior décor. With her newfound expertise, she launched her business and became a very successful interior designer owning and operating both a showroom and workroom that catered to both wholesale and retail clients. During this time; she designed, fabricated, and installed beautiful creations for many homes and businesses in the Houston metroplex and beyond.
