Edwards – Henrietta W. Asbell, 86, of Edwards, died at 12:03 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. She was born July 5, 1925, in Peoria County to Harry and Sena Behrends Peters. She married Leonard B. Asbell, Sr. on November 30, 1947 in Brimfield. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1997, in Edwards. She is also preceded in death by her son, William; one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Lenny (Sarah) Asbell, Jr.; of Williansfield, Joan (Randy) White of Peoria, Wayne (Anita) Asbell of Brimfield; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Heye (Darlene) Peters of Brimfield, Henry (Harriet) Peters of Brimfield, Ralph (Gail) Peters of Brimfield, Everett (Jean) Peters of San Antonio, Texas; her sisters, Hilda Stretch of Peoria, Viola Binder of Brimfield and Wilma Shipley of Brimfield. She was a cook for Fairview Farms in Bartonville for 40 years and was of the Lutheran faith. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Gene Campbell will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Hanna City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
