Henry Gray Stanley (Boss), 90, passed on Father's Day, Sunday, June 18, with his family by his side, in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans' Home in Jennings, La.

Henry was a lifetime residence of Vinton. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and he was a carpenter by trade. He was known for cooking and especially his roux. He love all kinds of Cajun music and his favorite Cajun song was, " I'm Proud To Be A Cajun". He was a proud member of the American Legion of Sulphur. He was known a concerned and caring person. He loved his whole family and his twenty five grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Henry was survive by his children, Floyd J. Stanley, Raymond J. Stanley, Earline M. Reid, Yanita A. Mornic, Lydia M. Leger and her husband, LeRoi. He was precede in death by the love of his life, Esma M. Stanley.

His funeral will be a 10 a.m., Friday, June 23, in the Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Vinton. The Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur, La. under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., Thursday evening, June 22, with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
