Henry S. Ingle, 96, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012, at his home. He was born September 13, 1915 in Wellsville, the son of the late Fred and Maggie Ingle. Henry was a retired carpenter having worked for the Carlisle Army Barracks. He was a member of Emmanuel Faith United Lutheran Church, Franklintown and the American Legion Post #109, Mechanicsburg. Henry served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Henry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary M. (Wise) Ingle; three daughters, Shirley Williams and her husband Earl of Dover, Bonnie Yocum and her husband Richard of Dillsburg, Susan Adams and her husband Barry of Mechanicsburg; one step-daughter, Darlene Shetter and her husband Robert of Dillsburg. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 10:00 am in Barrens United Lutheran Church, 232 Kralltown Rd., Dillsburg with the Rev. Roy Stetler officiating. Burial will be held in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9-10 am at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or the Visiting Angels, 13 N. Progress Ave., Suite 207, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
