Hope Bybee Hughes was born on November 12, 1924 in Rigby, Idaho. After growing up in the Annis area she married Max Hughes on November 5, 1942. They were married 58 years. She moved to southern California to be close to family while Max was serving in the USMC during World War II. Hope remained there for the next 30 years. Hope and Max raised 2 children, Sherry (Ed) Lincoln and Craig (Teri) Hughes. She spent the last 45 years living in Utah. She was blessed with three granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren. Over the years she worked in a number of capacities, such as Accounts Receivable Manager at a large car dealership and bookkeeper for the family construction business.

Hope was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and dabbled in painting. She enjoyed games of chance and camping, especially with her siblings and remained close to them even though they were scattered all over the country. In more recent years her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the greatest joy. We have been blessed to have had her among us for 93 years and she is already greatly missed.
