Howard Earl Glass, age 93, of Warren, died on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 18, 1918 in Braceville, OH, a son of the late Elmer John Glass and the late Cora Mae Simpson Glass. Howard was a graduate of Braceville High School and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII. He was employed as the Treasurer of Cox Lithographing in Warren for 40 years and was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Warren. Howard enjoyed spending his time in the outdoors. He liked hunting, fishing, metal detecting and gardening. He also enjoyed traveling and watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes football. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson Glass, whom he married on December 8, 1945; a son, Richard E. (Joyce) Glass of Mecca, Ohio and a daughter, Nancy E. Smorra of Tucson, Arizona. Also surviving are his two grandchildren, Scott (Angie) Smorra of Portland, Oregon and Amy (Chris) Dominiak of Tucson, Arizona. Howard was preceded in death by three brothers, Hollis, Sherman and Victor Glass and a sister, Vivian Glass. On behalf of the family, a special thanks to Howard's caregivers, Cindy Demoss, Betty Thornton and Betty Bennett. Funeral services will be held at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11AM with the Rev. Dr. David Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM -11AM on Friday at the funeral home. A private family committal service will be held at the Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna where military honors will be rendered by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
